BvB 4BP River Calling Range
SB: $17.03
BB: $14.60 (Hero)
UTG: $21.82
MP: $10.92
CO: $19.26
BB lost and shows two pair, Jacks and Tens.
SB wins $27.89
Rake is $1.31
Had only played 30 hands with villain but he was running 14/11 with no 3b yet so I still think with position we can still call the 4b profitably.
OTF I don't see any reason for betting as the majority of the hands I was flipping with PF have now made a set, and we're behind his overpairs.
OTT I'm glad to block AK, but the vast majority of his range at this point looks like sets, overpairs, AQs and perhaps some Axcc/hh (which may too assumptive at this point based on stakes and stats) but 4b range BvB being wider certainly make it possible so I call.
Draws obviously miss but even so I don't think based on my limited perception on him he's ever bluffing enough here. I think I spewed calling here, justifying that I block JTs and thinking he checks back QQ some percentage of the time. I'm guessing for this to be a call he has to be turning some 9x into a bluff which isn't really happening.
My question's are:
1) Is flop and turn play fine?
2) on the river how should we construct our river calling range seeing as we need to defend about 63% of our bluffcatchers? (or does this go out the window based on population read earlier?
Thanks for reading
edit: wasn't expecting the hand he had in the end to be in his range, but I think it's still an interesting spot.
