Bluff selection system

Hi
During the game, we usually all know what we want to raise or to xr for value.

It's harder with bluffs. At least for me. Do you have a system according to which you know which cards you want to raise/xr as a bluff?

I've been playing with the combonator for hours, but I can't think of a simple system according to which I could simply choose which cards I bluff and which I don't.

I would be grateful for your advice, tips, tricks, etc.

Well, ideally you understand how much value hands are your value hands, then you decide with the sizing and after that pick percentage of hands, you need to bluff with. And after that, you think of blockers, and select bluffs according to having positive blockers.

Well, how do you know if you chose the right bluff ratio?
There is a difference to play for example BB vs. UTG and BB vs. BTN.
For example, the board is J93s .
Turn is Q.
If we play from BB against UTG our range will improve only a little. If we play from BB against BTN we suddenly caught a lot of straights.

I guess you're not able to count all the combinations from your head. So I thought maybe you were using a system.

You want to block hands that call the raise and unblock hands that are folding to the raise.

A little unimaginable for me. For example, we play BB vs. BU on board K72s.
We can xr hand like Q8s and go three barrels. On the river, we block some hands that
he calls as KQ, but at the same time we block the hands that he folds as missed flush draw with Qs (AQs, QJs etc)

Yeah, it's a spectrum thing rather than a yes or no thing in many situations. Unfortunately I can't thing of a simple "system" for choosing bluff combination, it just happens to be one of the more complicated things in poker.

Yeah definitely no easy system to lock down and play on autopilot. It requires study and focus on your opponents.

Another idea I will throw out is occasionally mix in a raise or check raise with bottom or 2nd pair+BDFD or both backdoor draws. Hands that have some equity when called that block some nutted flop hands (sets).

One more that comes up less often is bluffing with AsXo on 3 flush, non-paired boards (any street) because you have the blocker to the nuts.

Be careful with your frequencies and who you're doing it against. You don't want to bluff stations you want to bluff people capable of folding!

I would use a linear approach (somehow equitywise as cdu mentioned).
So what are the best hands that i am not able to call anymore in a spot.
This can be decent backdoor equity or something like bottom pair or a weak draw. But we have to take the interaction of villains range with the given board into account. So i guess im not XR 25 on AK2 in BB vs UTG as an example.
So finding a fix system wont work usually i guess.
