Most recreational players won't check down to the river and then decide to bluff so x/f looks fine. Don't think betting accomplishes much as hes probably not folding anything that's connected with this board.
Yes quite bad hand to be bluffcatching even vs well known aggro rec. And bluffing river yourself aren't good too and not accomplishing much.
Just fold, you would end up to beat yourself up when he bets a pair for bluff and you call with a non-made hand worse than his. Also, you can't discount any straight from his range
