Hi guys! I decided to post this hand because i was thinking that villain have to fold some Qx combinations like Q2, Q5, Q7, etc.. and i was surprised when he called me with this hand..

So, if someone could tell me what think about this hand, i will apreciate it.

Anyway guys thanks for reading and the comments! This is my first post in RIO! :P

In future remove the results by deleting the 'showdown' portion of the HH

Before we look at the hand as a general rule: When running a bluff make sure you choose your opponent type carefully, "Don't bluff a calling station" comes to mind, if villain is very showdown prove rather just play the waiting game and aim for value or higher equity semi-bluffs.

Now for the hand..

This board is very draw heavy so your flop raise here can contain many more semi-bluffs, so as Villain top pair here versus an aggressive opponent is actually quite a reasonable call down, also added to that would be some medium pair hands A9/K9. Your range is wider as you called out the big blind so you do have more value hands but you also have more semi-bluffs.

Do you know anything about villain's cbetting frequency? and what about villain's cbet range? from the results its probably on the high side and its merged somewhat.

I don't mind raising and barreling but bare in mind you want to choose villains that are able to fold and being called off here with lowpair when you overbet the river.. well, it kinda seems you need to pick your opponent more carefully

Thanks Daz!

This opponent is a reg.. About his stats i can't know because the notebook where i played this hand (and where I'm actually writing) hasn't software of hand recopilation. But we are 100% sure that we weren't playing against a calling station.

Anyway, I posted this hand here because his river call surprised me. As I told you, I supposed villain HAVE to fold some Qx combinations, so a didn't expect a call with 3rd pair. I guess I have to check my check raise range and my bluff frecuency beside the WTS, Cbet, and Cbet range of the villain.
