When he checks i put him on A10+, K10s+, KJo+, 22, 44, 55, 66. So looking at hes range i decided to bet 85% of pot to get him to fold all draws and non pairs, but im not sure if i could've accomplished the same by 50-70% pot size. Your thoughts?

Betting for value is a good play there. On a draw heavy board it is in general better to bet larger than dry boards so nothing wrong with your sizing. I would go for 75% of the pot but it doesnt make much difference imo.
+1
You have a decent hand on that board and bet for value, everything over 60% should be fine.
He folds the same hands nearly always regardless of the bet size on this board. Dont understand also why you ask that. If he is a regular and you aren't balanced in bet sizing he will raise you of your hand when betting too small with air if he adjust well.
I think checking or betting under 50% is generally a mistake here.
wp imo
Think you could bet smaller OTT with range because it should be somewhat pair heavy and you don't need to bet very big to protect from his overcards + it should also deter him from c/r'ing.
