fold this preflop vs the 4bet ezpz
Where is the time that AK was a all-in pre flop
in these spots only AKs is
Folding preflop is super nitty and overly exploitative! Why fold? it is not 2012 where people couldn't 4B OOP as a bluff.
We can see extreme scenario - AKo is around 2% of your best hands. You 3betting around 7-8% in this position. So whenever you face 4bet you will fold 70-80% :D
Turn is pretty annoying, well cant blame folding. Can't blame calling also, his value is super narrow and possible amount of bluffs is huge (AQ,KQ,KJ,KT ....)
haha I remember that. Only crazy, great players would dare to that. And even they would say "do as I say, not as I do"
25nl is essentially 2012 poker tho so id exploit fold
hard to make explo fold when you actually having enough odds vs his range. What he is 4betting here (if assume he has 0 bluffs) AK/QQ+ and vs those you aren't standing that terrible right?
Also you don't need to be profitable there, just losing less than your 3bet size
I would say folding is worst option that you can possible think of. Unless this guy play KK+ exclusively
snowie folds pre but as played it would continue on turn so you are onto something here jeffrey
I think folding was fine. Akoff can look like a premium hand, yet quickly turn into a mediocre hand. Uri Peleg made a good youtube video about ak off on his youtube channel, Guerrilla poker. Check it out if u have time.
I agree I think this is a fold becuase it's going to be close to zero ev as a call. In Nick Howards videos he talked about passing up on thin edges to preserve your mental game. That tip is has helped my play. The games I play have players making so many mistakes that I feel I can pass on some marginal spots. Which allows me to play my A game longer
I believe this is the Guerilla poker video you were talking about. Thanks it was good

I like that. Passing up on thin edges to preserve mental game. Especially powerful in games where you don’t need the thin edges to win big. At 10NL I can probably fold anything but the nuts post flop and still win.
I do wonder how I then adapt once I do hit levels where these edges become more important?
Nice idea about preserving mental game.
Isn't it easy? If you feel uncomfortable playing a 4bet pot with this hand (which I agree is tricky) why not just flat pre and keep all of his KQ AQ etc in?
