Basics of Bluff Catching
Hi Guys,
Im relatively new to RIO and definitely new to the forums. I've tried watching some of the Bluffcatching videos inthe NLHE learning path Postflop Category, but the videos seem to have an assumption that you know certain basics things (beyond the combinatorics math). I was wondering if there is an article/video here that could cater to a complete noob in River Bluffcatching?
Thanks Guys

River bluffcatching:
Vs triple barrel - strategy to mostly overfold and rarely bluffcatch ( need good 1)runout 2) villian 3)blockers)
Vs single river bet - depends on opponent a lot and what he is trying to represent. Vs weak players can bluffcatch more frequently
Vs double bet (flop/turn and river) - mediocre situation, can call top of your range(+above average) and laydown other stuff
Generally vs weak agressive players you want to call more, vs passive opponents and tags less.
Thanks Jeff,
I believe this is a good starting point what you gave. Besides that, are there more articles/videos on the basics of the topic?
Thank you!
Hey Nizzy, welcome to Run It Once and the forums :)
Your post gave me the inspiration for a video I'm currently working on which will be on the basics of river bluffcatching. It'll be under the Essential section!
Look out for it in a couple of weeks.
Cheers
Hello Coach Darren,
That would be awesome, especially for bluffcatching noobs like me. OOP play has been long one of my leaks and especially River bluffcatching spots. Most of my otherwise winning sessions have that mistake. I look forward to your video sir, hopefully I'm still subscribed by then (I jost won this month's subsrciption lolz)
Cheers
