Curious to know if people think this is a weak Check/fold on the river?

river seems fine to me....Im not expecting a passive to bluff his busted draw often enough especially for an overbet.
Depending on how loose or tight he is, I might just check the flop. If hes loose id bet, if hes tight I check.
Agreed. I think you could check the turn for pot control, as there aren't a lot of scary cards for you (except the river flush, and you'll be able to know if he hit it since he is so passive, as you said), and is he bets the turn you get the information that he is strong for a lot cheaper than on the river.
Considering the line you took, which is not bad at all, I think the fold on the river was the correct play about 90% of the time against a passive opponent.
Betting the turn is prohably a mistake. His mid pairs probably fold, so you sill het called by better Ax and FDs.
River isslightly suspicious because he very well might have raised two pair on the flop or turn, but you still onky beat FDs, so it is an easy fold.l
