i like your play, u have boats and the nutflush in your range and BU is pretty much capped. if he calls with the k high flush it is okay because he is at the top of his range.
the best hand to bluff here would probably be As 5x, since u block his 55 but i would open that from co only if the blinds are passive.
tks
Isn't your range kind of capped and villain could have some pairs?
my range capped? LoL i triple barrel how its capped ... the capped range is the vilians imo cant have QQ JJ KK AA AJs less combos because 3b most of them TT same etc
well you raised so some players will have less suited hands but it applies more to 3bets. also some villains will flat these pairs to get value in late position
is it really necessary to run an expensive bluff like this and the overbet looks bluffy?
what the heck are u talking about.
wtf?
So if he had TT or JJ here would it still look bluffy? "Expensive" bluffs like this are the only way to balance your range. If he only does this with made hands he wouldn't get called very often.
why is it necessary to balance your range against this player? are most players looking at your ranges in these lines and board textures?
played it fine "-ish" .. i dont like the increased sizing on the Turn, because it increases not enough. most fish hate folding to the "same" size on different street as Long as the board does not really Change. how about you go for 25% bet on the flop and a 100% bet on the turn? now you put preasure on him and he has actually the Option to fold. but if he call the flop 5x% CB then he really wants to call the turn 7x% CB sind the 4 is Kind of a blank.. on the river i dont like your overbet. pot size is just fine. if he made a flush he is gonna call no matter what... if he has some top pair Hand he is probably folding no matter what.....
but at the end of the day, K high flush is the best Hand villain can have here. nothing you can do about that
How do guys play AJ QQ+ on the river ?
So a solver wants to definitely check your hand on the flop
from the turn onwards betting your size but maximally POT on the river is ok with ~20%ish frequency..
You definitely can't do this all the time "because you block the A hi NF"
Could you make a sim with more broadwayish hands on the BTN ? Admit that BTN is a fish , does allow us to cbet AK here more than checking ?
I think we want to check AK here cause the BU range is strong especially on a board with flushdraw.
he wants to check every combination of AKo or just this specific one?
River can be smaller, 80% pot is fine (and do it quickly).
Live I tend to cbet small 1/3 pot on the flop and shutdown on the turn without a strong tell
