Thanks to everybody who's been showing up, you guys asked some awesome questions. I feel like giving away a free copy of my PIO unlocked course today, both packs. If you want it, tell me why you deserve it more than anyone else, in 10 sentences or less. you can PM me or post it here. I'll pick my favorite response at the end of the day.
ddogUNLOCKED , best hype man around you'll never regret it :D
I deserve the package because I'm the only one who doesn't resort to ass-licking and cheesy lines in order to get the free package. ;)
Also, the package would benefit me a ton, because I am a good player, but (one of) my biggest weakness is not knowing how to use tools (software like pio) to improve my game. Getting the package could help me patch this leak and improve my game a lot.
:(
I deserve the package because I'm broke af and can't afford the OG package. I would love it if you were to help me with pio as I currently suck at using it, it would benefit my game a ton that I would be able to crush 500nl zoom and give you shoutout after I win the wsop main in a few years. I currently play 25nl zoom on stars and plan to move up to 50nl zoom soon. Thank you very much Nick for answering the questions today! I learned a lot, please choose me.
Thanks guys. I ended up picking a winner from one of the private PM's i received (Saulo Ribeiro). I'm going to post a non-winner below that I really got a kick out of though.
you are.
Thank you so much Nick
Congrats Saulio Solver!!

Thank you Nick for being honest about the poker community and our struggles. There was a lot of great questions and answers in the reddit thread. One of your replies really resonated with me:
"place a guy in a room where the oxygen is being sucked out at a slow pace, and assume that it's 100% certain that it will continue to happen until he suffocates. At the end of the room there's a doggie door that says: DO NOT EXIT, AT ALL COSTS. The guy who jumps through that door the fastest is the most intelligent, no matter where it leads."

I think this is one of the things that holds back both me and other poker players I have worked together with. Being able to let go of something you have worked hard on, but simply isn't working, is really difficult. It's much easier for me to see this when I discuss someone else's strategy than my own. Objectivity seems to become more difficult the more you struggle to make something work (sunk cost fallacy?). I guess this is what you call being insistent. One exercise that has helped me become more objective is to imagine that I'm trying to help another player with what I'm doing. Then I have less reasons to defend my ego and I have to be realistic about the amount of work it takes to implement it.
I will follow your short audio uploads on pokerdetox and hopefully learn more about being able to pursuit the most beneficial things in life.
