Is it too thin?

First question: what range you put him on preflop?
Second: why do you prefer not to cbet flop?
His range is JJ+ AJ+ Some random Axs. I do not cbet because I didnt have the initiative.
I think calling is close preflop. Postflop I probably x/c the turn and reevaluate the river. River might be too thin. I don't think he has AJ and a lot of his Ax bluffs now got 2 pair or a straight.
Why x/c turn? We have value in bet
Value from what? 3bets MPvsUTG are pretty polarized (at 25nl they are often only value) so I don't expect him to have AJ (even AQ).
You're probably only getting one bet from QQ-KK or low Ax. So x/c is fine, if he xb you could bet the river.
good point about his Ax bluff that now gets 2pairs OTR. I really the str8 his in his range tho.
Agree with you on the close call preflop. I would 4bet AQ more often than not in this spot - It has really good blockers to AA, QQ and AK. Im interested in your 3bet calling range utg vs mid 3bet ?
I think this is a fold or 4bet hand preflop.
"His range is JJ+ AJ+ Some random Axs. I do not cbet because I didn't have the initiative."
So OTF he has 46 combos at all. Witch consist of:
1 comb of set(AA),
2 comb of 2 pair(A3s),
14 comb of TP with kicker worse than ours,
and 2 comb of TP with gutshot(A5s).
19 comb value instead of 23 comb that we dominate.
With this range, I think we get default value-bet OTF.
You meant that we should donk OTF ?
I don't think his range is going to be that wide. (I think QQ+, AK & maybe AQ & some Axs).
What do you do on the turn when called? Bet again? Then what on the river?
If you check the turn, villain could just bet turn / jam river with his entire range and you have to fold.
But I mean against his range. (the JJ+ & AJ+ & Axs)
I probably also only call some combos of JJ+ & AK if I would have a callingrange. I'm 4betting AQ.
moushjak - Would you donk with TT-KK here ? FDs ? Because if you dont donk those hands too, your checking range is too weak and you're easy to play against. I think that if you want to have a donking range in this spot, it should be your entire continuig range that donk OTF.
TT - no, JJ-QQ - likely yes, KK - I would play 4Bet all-in preflop. And I have no FD in 3b calling range from UTG.
At Zoom micros I try c/r only with nuts or combodro with tons of equity for value, an usually being called only by other nuts. Because I guess that opponents rarely thinking about ranges and usually looking only in their own cards.
The preflop decision is your own....It *is* quite a big 3bt to be calling oop, which we will have to xf often on flop...... If your opp is a complete donkey then calling preflop is fine as you will have him dominated, etc, etc. Is he aggressive? Passive? Barrel a lot? These all matter post-flop w a hand like this oop.
Post-flop you played it perfect. Donking flop gives him too much info and doesnt let him bluff (which, depending on the opp as said preflop, we will prob xc down w this hand). When he x's back we take the lead and bet twice into him not letting him off the hook. Take the aggressive line! Dont x and let him x back his TT-KK and worse A's. You cant be 'afraid' of what he could have hit- you VB your great hand for a 3bt pot (again, this is dependent on opp) and put the decision on your opp. Let him fear 3bting YOU in the future.....
Pre-flop is def. a fold.
River is pretty meh, I think c/folding should be best. It's not like he's going anything to bluff with anyway...
