at these steaks you can be fine just folding pre if hes not that aggro

Thanks.

I think folding pre-flop would be out of the question unless we knew for sure villain was a nit that never 4-bet bluffed. And even if he only has a value range we can probably peel a flop getting ~25% on our call.

What kind of range do you (or anyone) expect him to take this line with?

I'm also having problems in this spot.
On flop it seems he wants to go to showdown with AK, then on turn he bets. And now i'm also thinking of calling turn because it doesn't make much sense.
But i guess a valuebet with AK on this turn isn't really nonsensical (i know i sometimes do it, but smaller sizing).
Then maybe he could have a hand like TT that he wanted to stackoff preflop and didn't bet the flop fearing a ck/r?

What are your thoughts?

Hey. Totally forgot about this thread. Thanks for the reply. This is what I had written down at the time:

"Pre: 3-bet is standard. I could probably shove versus the 4-bet and be around break even against most opponents but in-game the call button was clicked, which should be fine also. (Unless I botch post-flop, which there is a risk of doing at times).

Flop: I intent to XC the flop here as I have showdown value against potential bluffs, and outs versus non-bluffs, also being somewhat near the top of my range, but he checks back. In-game I was clicking buttons and didn't read too much into his XB. But it should imply showdown value? His range is still crushing mine here and it seems silly not to start bluffing with air on the flop. AK, A4 and the occasional slowplay makes sense for a XB (however me holding the Ah blocks the nut slowplay AhAx). (A2 is a possible slowplay, I guess).

Turn: If the read on him having showdown value is correct, this street seems like a pretty clear check-fold, in hindsight. I don't expect that a bet will fold out AK, nor A4 or any better hand. But in-game I was confused, and given that I would likely bet the turn myself with hands like 99 or perhaps 88, I felt vulnerable versus delayed CB bluffs in this spot. Although maybe that's irrelevant in practice, if his flop check does indeed give away that he has showdown value.

Additional thoughts were that he could be value betting AK here versus my face up range. He could be betting A5 or A3, which I don't want to fold against - but if he can have those, he can also have A4, A2, A6, and maybe that cancels it out."

Fold pre vs unknown.
As played who knows, could be AA or thin vb w AK, don't think its pure air I.e KQo, A2-A5s, sc, etc as he'd mostly likely cb the flop with those, so can't do anything but fold.
