Hey guys, I wanted to use this hand example to ruminate a little bit on the topic of this thread
So, the villain in the hand is a badish semi regular w solid preflop stats and play but things like low WWSF, too much coldcalling in every position, too little 3betting IP and being a little bit too passive (maybe)
OTF I misclick and ususally bet 1/2, blocking the NFD I figure I need less protection so I go for 1/3 but overall whatever
now facing the checkraise we obviously never fold and his range is probably:
QT, KJ, 44
9T, 4x, Qx, Tx for flushdraws
QTo
KQ
KTish
OTT folding obviously is no option
OTR he either bluffs or valuebets a flush and MAYBE vbets ~44, KJ
Aside from a slight timing tell with him betting pretty quickly w o thinking and his betsizes that speak for a confident made flush in my experience...
whats our play here with which parts of our range?
We obviously shove nutflushes... but do we ever raise nutflushes on the turn?
We call all flushes BUT... higher than??? Do we ever shove a Q high flush? J high?
We call our sets I guess..?!
Do we ever bluff?
Is bluffing with every nutflushblocker too wide?
IF we ever bluff we probably do it with the nutblocker - but how do we chose the combination if shoving with every blocker were too wide!?
Now he calls with T5 for the flush and I have no idea if this is actually good or bad bc I don't know my frequencies... however I feel that he could lay down this hand if I had raised the turn and shoved river (but that might be fantasy)
Anyhow, - the spot made me think about flushed situations and I would be curious to read your thoughts!
Kind regards
