AK vs raise on river NL5

Blinds: $0.02/$0.05 (3 Players) BN: $9.43
SB: $5.06
BB: $4.86 (Hero)
Preflop ($0.07) Hero is BB with K A
BN raises to $0.10, SB folds, Hero calls $0.05
I tend to like flatting more with AK at these stakes until I get a read on my opponent.
Flop ($0.22) 2 K 2
Hero checks, BN bets $0.10, Hero calls $0.10
Turn ($0.42) 2 K 2 8
Hero checks, BN checks
Obviously here I keep checking to induce but he shuts down.
River ($0.42) 2 K 2 8 T
Hero bets $0.25, BN raises to $1.10, Hero folds
Now here I think I can go for some value vs worse Kx and maybe a pocket pair like 99-QQ but the shove on the river really confuses me and I end up folding.
Final Pot BN wins $0.88
Rake is $0.04

I can't really see him doing this with worse so I think it's a lot of 2x, KT, 88 maybe? I mean I can't seem him doing it with KQ and any pair+draw on the turn would a) probably keep betting and b) call as they have quite a bit of showdown value. Any thoughts on where I could play the hand a bit better? Anyone calling on the end?

Thanks.
