when villain x/r flop does he ever have something else then a set... the reason i called river is that i thought he would probably still do that with FD like AQs AJs ATs.... but im not sure....

as played.... can i call river?

I like it I think there's definitely still worst hands in an unknown 10nl guy otr, sure we may see 99/77 but I think he could also show up with randoms FD and just random hands, I wouldn't fold otr

from my experience if vallain minraise you on flop and then check turn, bet river ,his hand strength is kinda polarized since i've seen alot of the same spot at NL5 as well.
So as played, i would call the river if there is no flush. even the vallain def has set in his range.

I agree with dococ. Think it's fine to call. The min check raise on the flop and then checking the turn doesn't scream strength. He might just be trying to get value from a set and figured he couldn't get three streets from you, but you don't have any blockers to the flush draw...I think he has a lot of bluffs in his range. Would be strange to min raise with a set. Seems like a good bluff catching hand to me.

How did it play out?

okay yeah i called river he showed up with a set of 9.... still think he can have busted FD in his range when betting river

My approach to a player I don't have a huge sample (and therefor not many reads) on is to assume that as he uses a weird line he's probably capable of weird bluffs in general, so he will probably have some bluffs in his river range here. Vs a 2/3 river bet we neee to defend with 60% of our range and I think AK is well in our top 60% range in this spot, so I call
