AJs turned into bluff rivered top pair.
UTG: $29.34
HJ: $25
CO: $47.51
BN: $8.55
SB: $20.14
BB: $25 (Hero)
HJ: $25

SB: $20.14
BB: $25 (Hero)
I got no reads on the opener, but the guy in the small blind is fishy, running 32/15/1.6 and a 3 bet of 0 over 264 hands.
Preflop
($0.35)
(6 Players)
Hero was dealt
J
A
UTG folds, HJ raises to $0.75, CO folds, BN folds, SB calls $0.65, Hero calls $0.50

Decided to flat, since 3-betting really turns our hand into a bluff. So fairly standard flat.
Flop
($2.25)
Q
5

(3 Players)
SB checks,
Hero checks,
HJ bets $1.05,
SB calls $1.05,
Hero raises to $3.75,
HJ folds,
SB calls $2.70
We miss the flop, but we got a couple of backdoors, plus one overcard. The preflop raiser c-bets small, and gets called by the SB.
I would most likely have called the c-bet if the SB didn't call.
But I thought that I could turn my hand into a bluff, as I have alot more 5's in my range then either of these guys. And a queen could not take to much heat. So I made a sizeable raise, and got called by the SB.

SB checks,
Hero checks
We pick up some equity with a gutter, but not much else. So against a normal reg, I usually would have barreled, but the thing is that this is rush poker, and my HUD didn't update, so I had the stats of a decent player pre and on the flop, but it updated on the turn. And then I quickly understood that a fish wouldn't fold a queen here. So I decided to check behind with my equity
River

A
(2 Players)
SB checks,
Hero bets $3.70,
SB calls $3.70
We river top pair, and is it to thin to value bet here? Will he call often enough with a queen to make it profitable? I also bet very small to get a queen to call.
Final Pot
Hero has
J
A
Hero
wins $17.29
Feedback would be appreciated :)

Pre is okay but I think you can also sqz to iso the fish IP. Just kind of depends on the HJ player. I think by calling here we can keep our range really strong.
Flop - Im not sure if im in love w x/r here. I see that youre trying to iso the fish but i think now that HJ has bet into two ppl hes not going to fold a lot of Qx on a dry board + you rep such a narrow value range. I probably just fold the flop but maybe thats too straight forward?
As played, vs a fish i definitely think river is a v-bet and like your size. just think hes pretty much bluff catching w QJ/KQ when he checks the turn and river
I feel like you're justifying actions after making them impulsively.
Preflop would have been a great spot to squeeze, so that you can play a pot heads up against fishy player in the SB, not to mention you would have position on him. The call is not terrible, but I think you would've gotten more EV by getting rid of the stronger player early on.
As played, I would not have raised the cbet on the flop. You don't have "a lot more 5's" in your range than bot of them, the fishy player has a lot more fives than you, since he calls loose and often. I wouldn't be surprised to see him turn over A5. He also has a lot of small Queens (QJ,Q10,Q9) that he's going to call down with, and if you don't get the runner runner flush or the ace, you're jsut going to give him money by barreling IMO.
I agree that checking on the turn is the best play.
You probably got lucky on the river, and if you put him on a Qx type of hand, you have to value bet in this spot.
Against a loose passive player, he's not going to reraise you very often, or even fold, so the way to maximize your EV against him is to value bet often, and bluff very rarely in low risk/high reward situations.
Value betting thin against a fish is very difficult in a multiway pot, so that's why I suggested you try to squeeze and isolate him preflop.
Hope this helped!
