AhAd BB

Blinds: $0.05/$0.10 (6 Players) BN: $25.32
SB: $25.24
BB: $11.68 (Hero)
UTG: $15.10
MP: $8.49
CO: $10.00
Preflop ($0.15) Hero is BB with A A
3 folds, BN raises to $0.30, SB folds, Hero raises to $1.00, BN calls $0.70
Flop ($2.05) 9 8 K
Hero bets $1.29, BN calls $1.29
Think there's plenty he'd call with here so I make it a size that would get me AI by river. Also I want to protect from draws
Turn ($4.63) 9 8 K 2
Hero checks, BN bets $3.00, Hero calls $3.00
There's flushes in his range but there's also bluff and he may even be overplaying a King so I'm always check/calling here unless he does something crazy like overshoving
River ($10.63) 9 8 K 2 3
Hero checks, BN bets $20.03 and is all in, Hero
$6.39 left... And strange... I'd be hella way comfortable with the Ac of course but still... TJ nor 67 got there and those are in his range what makes me wonder is that all kings would most likely check behind so I'm thinking I'm against a polarized range (?). Again to me holding the Ac would be a no-brainer call but this way is strange to me still it's hard to fold since imo only flushes are beating me since sets would probably play different and also KK would 4bet pre

I would still bet turn. I want to get value of KxQc or KxJc that he still pays and also protect in case he as like TxTc. Plus if you bet turn and he raises i think thats a good sign you are behind and can just fold.

As played on river i think i fold. if he as 88 or 99 he would raise flop. KK would 4bet pre. 22 and 33 would fold on flop so you prob aren't against any set. Any Kx would just check behind. I don't think he would bet so big with such a weak hand unless is AK. So you prob against a total bluff like JT or 67 or you are against flush. Would be nice to have more info about him. His af and fold to 3bet. but usually players aren't very tempted to just bluff this spots. Try to put it on equilab or wtv and work the combos that he needs to have of bluffs for this to be a good call and guess if he is capable to have them. If i'm not mistaken we need 21.45% equity. ($6.39 to a $23.41 pot)

i don't think he would call 67 so vs this range: JTs,AcQc,AcJc,QcJc,AcTc,QcTc,JTo (only bluffing with jt)

we have 71.43% equity. so its more then enough equity.

His overbet otr is no sense, any value hand should just bet smaller here so that it can get paid, and if he is doing this with the nuts (AcXc) he is not going to be paid unless he already knows you love to bluffcatch. If he is not a fish who is overvaluating his hand, most of the times he is probably bluffing with the Ac blocker. It depends of villain stats and history, buy I'd probably call

I think that you played the hand well David.

x/f OTR seems good to me. If you had AcAx OTR you should probably still x/f, and I don't think it's a no-brainer call at all. Quite the opposite, having the Ac removes too many of villain's bluff combos and imo makes it an even clearer x/f.

Fwiw, I'd x/shove OTT with all AcAx combos but not w/out the club.

I'd x/c river with sets and flushes since I like checking flushes OTT here but don't I think get to this river with too many sets after I x/c turn since I'm likely to 2barrel 99 and 88. Therefore OTR I just x/c mostly flushes and KK.

@ gyorgyligeti
Villain's shove OTR is not an overbet. Look at effective stacks and notice that it's only around 60% pot.
