Hi guys,

Sometimes you really dont know what to do in a hand. This hand I had that feeling!
Villain plays 24/20 and fold 79% to 3bets.

I really had no clue what to do! Just give up the hand or go for it?

How many hands do you have on him? What´s his open% from HJ? What´s his 4bet%? What are his postflop tendencies?

Depending on all those stats it might be a shove, a call or a fold. We just don´t have enough information.

If you were actually readless, I´d say the following: AA only has 43% vs. 88-QQ. If you´re getting it in you´re risking 166 to win 237, so you need 42%. It seems like you´re getting just enough equity to stack off vs. (what I think) is the best possible range for us. If we exclude QQ our equity drops to 31%. So, I think it´s an easy fold.

Checking the flop might be a good idea, though against this guy with his narrow 3-bet-calling-range it´s probably better to b/f.

you can't make a range of 88-QQ.. you'd have to assume he's going to be raising JJ/QQ and his made sets in a 3bet pot IP.. Not really necessary if he wants a hand like QQ+ to continue and if he thinks he has the best hand. I'm more inclined to think he has a 2pair type hand. I'm more inclined to check/call this board texture because you're rarely getting value from worse hands, also, he will bet all his air / draws / pairs in hopes of taking it down. You can then evaluate future streets and play from there.

The raise is very small and I think you can call there and see what he does on turn. I think most of his hands that you beat will just call the flop and realize their equity. Hands like 67, JT, 77, J9. Given his raise size though, I think he doesn't have many two pairs there, since a lot of people opt for a bigger raise with a hand like 89.

What did you end up doing?

Well your betsizing underreps your hand a lot unless this is your std cbet size in 3bet pots,
you pretty much need to call now. Also worth noting is that although villain's fold to 3bet% pretty high I doubt it's 79% in position.

i would call, call most turns. he can be bluffing esp with your sizing and considering his value range is limited to 13 combo's 25 if you add JJ QQ but i expect most people to call alot of the time, well this is very dependent on villain

This is a FR-table, what´s your expected bluffing-range? Please try to come up with a total range so we can calculate equities, not just "I´d call flop, call turn, he could be bluffing". No doubt that he could, but how often is the big question.
