In game I thought I played this hand standard but looking back I feel like I should have checked back the flop. He's a pretty passive player with VPIP: 25, PFR: 14, 3B: 1, AF: 1.5, Hands: 214 so IMO for cold calling a 3bet his rang would look like AKs-AQs TT,JJ,QQ. KK-AA would 4bet possibly flat some AA. I just think on the river hes not bluffing enough to call with AA. What do you guys think any feedback is greatly appreciated

yes, hero should check the flop and call turn. if V still bet at river, fold is neccessory.
Why do you want to check back the flop given the range you've assigned him? Seems like your hand is always best (less 1 combo of AQdd) and there are plenty of hands you want get value from and protect your hand vs.
True it would be a mistake to check back the flop. What do you think if villain c/r flop would you feel comfortable getting it in without the Ad? (In a vacuum)

I don't think it's going to happen very often (roughly never vs the range you've assigned) but I probably just shrug and get it in. There are so few combos of hands that beat you and I wouldn't be shocked to see someone with those stats show up with like KJo once in a blue moon (plus the much more reasonable AK)
