I think that board hits his calling range quite ok, I think here we are either way ahead or way behind... so I x/called.
If I bet and get raised by the nit I can say goodbye to my AA.

Turn probably one of the worst cards in the deck that could hit... coudn't see much reason in betting here, although I think betting would have been much better, still some AJ,KJ, KQ hands that could call.

How would you make more money with AA here?

River 1/3ps bet would be okay I guess.. We block nutflush combos and 9x combos would bet the turn 100% of the time. So I would we could (ofc thinly) betting the river for value to get called by KQ/AT/AJ/AQ/KJ
Iwould want to cbet tjis flop, and continue OTT.
River as you have played it, I want to just check, he checks back turn so no Jx
I understand the reason you x/c the flop. But here two reasons why betting is better. First if he has a worse hand and calls you generate value. If he checks behind (e.g. AT and a scary card comes off, you wont bet anymore. Secondly; if you bet you get more information and you can confidently fold. It is important to squeeze thin value out of worse hands.
I would also bet the flop. As played checking it down is fine.
Ok. Let's say you are betting the same amount on flop as villain did and he just calls. Would you bet turn as well? How much? What do you do against a shove?
I would always just check it down on this board. There's just so much that beats you and he can have all those hands.
Thx
Agreed that you should be c-betting the flop for value. You can get called by many worse hands on such a connected, drawing board. So we miss value in a 3-bet pot when we hope to take the x/c line heads up.
For example, even though he is a 16/14, his BTN opening range is going to significantly wider than 14 PFR. So you can get called by 99, JJ, QQ, QJ, QK, AT, 9T, 98, etc, as well as flush draw combos that you beat. The combos of hands that beat you versus what you beat is significantly less at this point in the hand.
OTT, I think taking a x/c or b/f line is fine. OTR, when he checks the turn, I think betting for thin value and taking a b/f line is best for the same reasons other people have said.
Thank you for the extensive answer. Now I`m 100% sure I should have bet flop and then I would still probably just x/call turn... and on river, I think we could bet for this value but there are just so many combos that beat us and him being a nit I don't this he would call with AT,KJ type of hands... so we are value betting only agains AQ,KQ and maybe (AJ - that would probably bet the turn). Regarding the fact that we are heavily blocking AJ and AQ combos I don't mind that much the check... he could also shove on us if we bet.
So I think I prefer Bet Flop , x/call turn, x/call river (depending on sizing I guess).
wp is all I can say. Checking flop with this combo 100% of the time. Betting river would be pretty much a bluff - villain has all 2pair, set combos in his range.
Agreed.
