AA 4bet pot turn decision

BN: $35.25
SB: $50
BB: $53.37
UTG: $113.17
HJ: $51.93 (Hero)
CO: $36.01
Really ugly hand. Villain is 15/8/3bet 2
Preflop ($0.75) (6 Players)
Hero was dealt A A
UTG folds, Hero raises to $1.50, CO folds, BN folds, SB raises to $4.50, BB folds, Hero raises to $9.75, SB calls $5.25
Obv we want to gii vs KK+ AK. Instead he flats.
Flop ($21.75) K 8 Q (2 Players)
SB checks, Hero checks
I think his range here is QQ+ AK. So check should be the best play by us especially when we block half of his AK combinations and have Ah in our hand. Is my thought process correct at this point?
Turn ($21.75) K 8 Q T (2 Players)
SB checks, Hero bets $12, SB raises to $40.25, and is all in, Hero folds
Turn he checks and I decided to get value from AK, was not expecting him to check his sets twice.
Final Pot
SB wins $42.02
