A4s 4bet pot OOP - value betting?
SB: $18.08
BB: $31.82
UTG: $31.78
MP: $33.90
CO: $51.90 (Hero)
CO wins $7.26
Rake is $0.34
villain: 29/23, 3bet BTN vs CP:24% (17 hands only), 3bet IP overal: 22%, FT4b - 40% - 527 hands - still not enough hands for 3bet/4bet pots.
Preflop I decided to 4bet bluff with this hand, I usually use low suited AXs as 4bet bluff OOP...villain was 3betting quite light so I would 4bet bluff more aggressively.
Postflop I decided to play passively with this hand as we are way ahead or way behind on this board and I don't think it makes sense to bet small on the flop as I don't need protection and villain would just call or reraise with better hands here and fold his ''air''. It's also good to have some somewhat strong hands in checking range to protect it.
My plan was to X/C on the flop and then re-evaluate the hand on later streets. Would most likely call again on turn unless it's very bad card or villain use some crazy sizing.
Action goes X-X on the flop and I was thinking if it makes sense to bet on the turn. Turn is blank and I could maybe get some value sometimes from weaker hands after villain checked back on the flop. He could have something like QQ,maybe slowplayed KK, TT sometimes...
What do you think? Should we bet on the turn after that flop action? I would bet small, something like 50%. I think our hand is still not vulnerable on the turn afte villains X on the flop. I don't think villain has strong hands now or high equity draws as he would most likely bet on the flop. I think there is some value in betting on the turn tho, mostly from hands like TT,QQ,KK possibly...
OTR I decided to check again and and realize my showdown value...Q is not so good card as villain could possibly have QQ, there's very few combos to get value from and it seems quite like quite a thin vallue bet on this river..
Any ideas on how to play this hand? I would prefer X,B,X here retrospectively.
