A bit rusty: Grade my line?

50NL, 100bb eff

BTN opens 2.5x
Hero 3b to 10bb with 6c5c
BTN calls

Flop: Qs 8s 5d

x / b50 / call

Turn: 6h

x/x

River: 4c

b33 / jam (81bb) / hero?

I wound up calling in the moment (villain turned over 77) and feel like it's a pretty substantial mistake. The lead seems fine but to call off the jam appears to be a big blunder.

I meeeeean in theory you can't really fold. In practice it's true these spots are generally underbluffed, but it can't be a big blunder. It's close though. It does depend if you have any reads / stats. I think it will be a fold vs passive players but a call vs more aggro ones.

In theory this should be a pure call. In practice it's close, can't be a huge punt

I don't study solvers or GTO in depth right now. However, I think you need to keep the pressure on him on the turn. I would have bet at least 75% pot on the turn. Maybe even over bet the pot a bit. If he calls the turn bet you know that 4 on the river could be trouble. Or, at least, you know you may be in some kind of trouble. You can check, fold river if you need to and save some money. I personally would have folded, but I play pretty tight. Still, higher 2-pairs, sets, and the straight all have you beat. Unless he's over bluffing and super aggro, this definitely smells like trouble.
