99 turn spot $0.50/$1.00 6-max NLH Bovada
UTG - $123.05 - 23/15 over 52 hands
CO - $128.40 - Hero - 9s9h
Preflop:
UTG raises to $3.00, CO calls $3.00
Flop($7.16): 5d4d2c
UTG bets $7.50, CO calls $7.50
Turn($21.40): Tc
UTG checks, Hero???
I don't have any reads on utg villain, but he appears to be somewhat TAGish. He doesn't open limp or anything. I would just assume he's a regular, but can't really make that assumption on Bovada haha.
When he pots the flop, I think he is very draw heavy and wanting to put pressure on my mid pairs. Maybe betting his big broadway suited diamond hands to this size. Maybe betting a hand like AJ/AQ/AK. Possibly sets? Maybe 33. Maybe an overpair. When he checks the turn, I feel like he is either going for a check raise with his draws/maybe sets, has a hand like JTdd-ATdd that caught a pair and is wanting to bluff catch, or maybe isn't prepared to fire 3 barrels and is check Ax. I feel like Hero should A) Check back B) Bet 1/3rd pot for protection/thin value and call c/r C)Bet 1/3rd pot for protection/thin value and fold to c/r D) Bet 1/3rd pot for protection/thin value to induce a c/r from draws, and jam all in (assuming he is check/calling Tx, probably doesn't want to c/r overpairs, and probably barrels sets a big % of the time). What do you guys think is the best turn play and why?
