We have $579 behind.
-This opponent is defending 90%, 3b 15%, c/r flop 13%, and has shown up in these kind of spots with a ton of FD's and SD's. Hasn't shown any pure air, but tends to c/r a ton of open enders and small flush draws. He does barrel off generally
-He has shown a pretty linear 3b range, so i think on the flop, we are only behind 55, 75, T5, T7. I think KT is actually one of my best bluff catchers as it blocks no diamonds/straight draws, but blocks a bunch of value hands (better then like AA). On the turn, 86 does get there though. He definitely has all combos of that.
-I dont think folding is reasonable. I will have 55, 77, TT, T7, T5, 75, T4, 86 but this seems to be the next best hand to have. Does anyone jam here? the river is very tough to play, and it really punishes him with diamonds draws like Q3dd 93dd 82dd 32dd k9dd k3dd q8dd q9dd. as well as straight draws 98, 64, Jd9x Jd8x. a lot of these hands will lose out on realization of equity, which is very bad for him.

Tough spot FiveBet we could of got a better turn card but prob the best of the worst. Im not a fan of shoving the turn, in nearly all spots i will call the turn and play the river. You seem to have strong reads on his range right now so we should use that and play some perfect poker on the river, keep him in the pot with his draws and commit him to bluff shoving some rivers. We also keep our turn range protected for when we have our nut combos.
I agree with our hand being the next best and we also block no draws at all which is nice, i just think we do better range vs range when we call, if we shove and he calls us? We could be in very bad shape.
its an equity protecting shove, it forces him to fold out equity because he will be getting a little over 2.2-1 and will need 28% equity to continue or something, and with a bunch of his draws, he won't have that. so its terrible for him if he has to fold now. i think also he will just call it off with a draw and improper odds (i saw him do it after he raised flop with 97 on a86hh in a 3b pot. i 3b jammed 88 and he called, which was marginal by him).
"but blocks a bunch of value hands (better then like AA)."
I didnt understand what you meant by this? Do you mean were blocking his value hands like QT?
ye T7,AT and stuff, AA blocks nothing
having a ten blocks t7 and t5. idt he raises AT as i have JJ+ in my range
I do think hes likely to call it off as well, maybe i just prefer the lower variance route. I think we get a ton of information on the river and can easily hero non completing rivers but you got good reads on the villain so i like your play. I would take blocking the T as a positive, blocking all his value 2pair hands. Results?
i can't think of like any comfortable rivers, except a Ten, which he will not bluff shove on like ever. I just think there are so many bad rivers, and that on this dynamic of a board, i just want to put the money in when I'm likely still ahead. its sort of exploitative because i shud be flatting all my big hands so that on river i dont get there with purely draws.
the results were that he thought for 10 seconds and folded. guess he may have had air, which i guess makes my play worse. cuz i def want air to stay in hand, but thought that he has so many semi bluffs on this board, he would have no need to use air-heavy c/r range.
Im not sure about shoving like, its basically a protection shove once we get called we do badly. Soooo im not sure if i like it.
I see rvrs will be difficult to play some of them, and i like the idea of making his life hard when hes got a good draw w allot of equity and shutting that out is kinda nice. But do we really make his life that hard ?
Also it would be interesting to look at this a bit more math wise how many draws he need to have to make shove good.
yea would interesting to see the math. i felt he was fairly wide, with some weak draws, because he did have a very high percent c/r on these sort of boards. the thing is, the more air he has, i guess the better flatting is. but, i thought on this board he had very few air hands, and mostly higher equity draws, but if i jam for 580, then theres 870 in pot and he's gotta call 430. this means he is getting like 2-1 or needs 33% equity. I can't think of many of his semi bluffs that have that much. only K6dd has 17 outs, which is enough.
If I get fds calling shoves on the turn that's an atm. Shove 100%.
