Flop ($0.35) 2 T 4 (2 Players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.20, SB calls $0.20
Turn ($0.75) 2 T 4 5 (2 Players)
SB checks

First HH post.

Villain is 34/24/1.4agg with FFCB 44 FTCB 40

Hero 24/20/2.6agg with CB of 74 on flop

After c/c on flop villain can have Tx, Axs fd, 99-55.  Think he would c/r any set on this texture.  Turn is where I get lost sometimes.  Picked up some equity on turn w/fd and overs.  Is this a spot where I just realize my equity and x back vs. a villain that doesn't fold much to barrels?

We pick up additional equity and can value bet a rivered flush or J and Q. OTT, this is a great card to continue on because one we can make him fold better (ie. a small pair) and we can build a pot when we hit our flush/overcard.

I dont think hes ever folding better given this is an obvious barrel card for a ton of our air range given Ax picked up a gutty, as well as the fact hell call again with the Ax in his range, which figure to be pretty strong if he called the flop (AQ/AJ), or worse for us if he called flop with gutty like A3s A5s. So if we bet I think we should be betting turn and firing the river. Im not sure of the profitability of such a line at NL5. I might just check back and take my equity. I dunno tho, because if hes going to bluff the river with his bricked flush draws or not fold Ax when it misses because we checked, we could be better firing twice. It really comes down to how you constuct his range and what actions he takes, and I dont have the experience here at these limits to know.

wow....checking back this turn is a huge mistake vs almost anybody IMO for about the reasons that buddha mentioned...

yeah, just did a simple CREV where we bet turn and every single river, and depending on river adjusted villains calling range, and its solidly +EV. I think its important we have to always bet river tho, betting turn and checking back rivers isnt going to be +EV

Turn - Hero bets $.40 - Villain Calls

River - 7s - Villain Checks - Hero?? - Spades got there - 77 got there - Tx still beats me

Bet sizing on turn?

ToothPaste - didn't see your post until after I posted how the hand ran out.  Yeah I don't mind how I played the hand up until the river.  I think the mistake I made was getting to the river without a plan on how I was going to play it.  I think betting the river 100% of the time would have been the correct play.

Thanks Guys!
