5/5 live: river min-checkraise by TAG
I open AK from button.
SB (TAG) calls.
flop: A-6-2. I check behind (in hindsight I prefer a c-bet. we were deep, was afraid of check/raise, but in hindsight I dont think he is capable of check/raising light here as he is a bit scared deep as well). anyway,
turn: Q. I (value)bet, he calls.
river: 7. I (value)bet 1/2 pot, he min-checkraises.
I realize top pair is beat most of the time. villain is careful player, not very aggressive at all.
however, Im getting sick odds to call...
hero??

Mathematically, you need to win one out of six times to make the call equivalent to folding. If you win more than 1 out of 6, you should call. So, is he bluffing 16.6% of the time? Did you try building his flop, turn and river ranges to see if he could have that many check-raise bluffs in his range? You didn't mention suits, which might be important for figuring out what he would have continued with on the turn. From practical experience, I think this is almost never a bluff. As soon as you think he's only bluffing 5%-10% of the time, this is an easy fold, despite the good odds to call. It feels a lot like he has A7, 77, or 76s and hit a lucky river.
he did have A7, indeed :D
Never be affraid of being xr when you've got a tone tone of value, with thishands, you make gold bro' by cbetting and barreling 3 !
especially in live, i think it's an izi fold without some reads on the guy.
