5/10 live: tripple-barrel-bluff with no outs
4 handed game.
1.3k effective.
villain = maniac- stats about 40/30 (6max that is)- raises SB to 35.
standard is a fold for me.
given his stats, I 3bet 68o to 130. i expect this specific villain is going to fold a little over half of the time to my 3bet. he only 4bets with premiums so dont have to worry about 4bet. i am not thrilled of him calling but i think his calling range is weak enough so that i have decent fold equity on later streets. also we are a little over 100bb deep.
is the 3bet always a loosing play here, even given all those reasons?
Q-7-3 r.
i cbet 175 (into 260). good board to cbet. quite standard with my hand i guess. sizing on larger side because i want maximize fold equity. not so much worried about balancing against bad player. other viable line would be to check and give up of course. expect quite a few folds here. some peels that i can barrel off later. i have 8 high no outs so happy to take pot down.
turn: J
i fire 2nd bullet. 250 into 410.
pretty much only reason: i have 8 high no outs, need to maximize fold equity.
but: in hindsight i think i dont get enough folds on this turn card.
is 2nd bullet gonna be -ev no matter what? or can it ever be justified? are there any turn cards at all that is should 2nd barrel with my hand? an Ace turn for example? a second Q? a K? a T?
river: T
i fire 3rd bullet. shove about potsize.
straight possiblities might scare some. scary enough?
can 3rd bullet be plus ev? can it ever be justified?
he can have a AQ, KQ of course, and two 2 pairs - QJ, QT- which he is never folding. hardly anything else gets to river like this i guess.
