[50NLz] Using JJ as a bluff catcher on an A high board ?
PokerStars - $0.50 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
BTN: 84.12 BB (VPIP: 33.33, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 3)
Hero (SB): 111.88 BB
BB: 94.3 BB (VPIP: 18.18, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 11)
UTG: 117 BB (VPIP: 23.81, PFR: 19.05, 3Bet Preflop: 25.00, Hands: 22)
MP: 101.3 BB (VPIP: 44.44, PFR: 29.63, 3Bet Preflop: 9.09, Hands: 27)
CO: 98.5 BB
Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB
Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has Jh Jc
fold, fold, CO calls 1 BB, fold, Hero raises to 4.5 BB, fold, CO calls 3.5 BB
Flop : (10 BB, 2 players) 3d Ac Tc
Hero bets 4 BB, CO calls 4 BB
CO limp called so could be a fish so I make a bet on the A-high flop.
Villain calls so he should have something a T or A or a club draw or a gutshot?.
Turn : (18 BB, 2 players) 4h
Hero checks, CO checks
Against a fish might even raise with JJ but decided to check to see what develops. Villain checks back making me believe that he prob not has an A.
River : (18 BB, 2 players) 3h
Hero checks, CO bets 14 BB, Hero calls 14 BB
River is a blank think it close placing a bet and hoping to get called by a T or just use JJ as a bluff catcher? Used it as a bluff catcher such that I at least do not loose equity by getting raised of my hand. Villain makes substantial bet which I ofc call as planned
CO shows Kc 5c (One Pair, Threes)
(Pre 32%, Flop 43%, Turn 32%)
Hero shows Jh Jc (Two Pair, Jacks and Threes)
(Pre 68%, Flop 57%, Turn 68%)
Hero wins 43.7 BB
Rake paid 2.3 BB
What do you think of the line taken?
