50NLz Cbet Spot in MW Pot
SB: $50.00
BB: $86.79
UTG: $84.28
MP: $266.39 (Hero)
CO: $22.36
MP wins $33.01
Rake is $1.74
I've been thinking about these kind of spots recently, but I still can't come up with a solid answer. If it was HU to the flop, hero OOP, I would check my range but I'm not sure how BB overcalling should affect our strategy. Like we still want to protect our x range, but we have more incentive to deny equity (esp w JJ-99) and BTN's stabbing frequency decreases. How would you suggest creating our ranges in these spots, maybe using this one as an example.
My guess is checking 100% on this flop is the correct answer as now we have two ranges which can have the nuts in to worry about.
Bonus Q: If being MW doesn't affect our strategy for this board, what flops do we see the greatest changes?
Really interested in peoples thoughts, just say whatever I just want to start a discussion.

Not kind of answer you are looking for but versus minrase, reraise would be option here on the flop.
Haha yes, I'd call bottom set and prefer to 3B my higher sets here.
I mean if villain is fish what it seems like, he could be minraising with bunch of stuff we beat, like A8, K8, 87, 98 random 6x or 5x and other random stuff. Therefore I see value for raising
Are we certain they're always raising these hands? Are we certain they are calling multiple streets with those hands? It's a bigger mistake assuming these answers are correct where they're not, than losing a bit of value in one hand. Even if I lose value in this specific hand, I gain value by knowing villains strategy for future hands.
From my experience, minR are often a mixed bag especially so in spots where you are uncapped and appear to be showing strength i.e. betting into 3 ppl.
Not sure of my statement here but I'll give it a try. I think it depend on the type of players that have call cold. Vs 2 regs it seems ok to check our entire range on this board to protect our checking range. Vs 2 fish or vs 1 reg & fish I dont mind betting the flop togo for max value
Yeah, I guess w fish involved it depends on what mistakes they're more likely to make, when we bet or check. I presume it's going to a calling mistake a majority of the time, so betting w fish involved would be better.
i like your game with low set. vs good reg game good. vs fishy bad reg go all in seems better.
