I have a history of being the kind of guy that turns any two cards into a bluff if I sense any weakness from my opponent and I feel I have been relatively successful at realizing where my opponent was at in his range and taking advantage at it. However, I have only recently moved over to Poker Stars and even at 50 nl can tell the competition is (on average) tougher than you might find at 200nl on some other sites, meaning I just can't barrel like crazy just because I think they are weak. So, i am putting a lot of thought and effort into trying to come up with more balanced ranges and I think I am trying to change too much at once and am running into spots where I am over doing it or maybe just missing the core concepts completely. This hand might be an example of me over doing it so I figured I would post it and see what you guys thought.

I have 33, 99, AK (I don't always 3bet AK on the btn vs ugt opens), KQ, and KJ in my range against a guy opening this wide (lets just say he turns out to be as aggressive as his stats suggest and it doesn't decrease a whole lot by position). When he checks he is repping hands like KJ, QQ, JJ, 9x, pocket pairs under the 9, Ax, and check folds. So in this spot, once this guy checks to me on this flop, old me would just start betting planning to bet all 3 on most run outs except maybe a 9 on the turn or river and expect the hands to never get to showdown.

Now, I am starting to think, "Well if I just start betting any two when checked to, my opponents can start ck-calling me down, or some combinations of ck-calls and ck-raises very lightly and be very profitable. I can have a lot of bluffs here since I have quite a few value bets but let's pick hands that have more equity when called or have no chance at winning at showdown."

So the questions are.

Is this a spot where I should be thinking like that or once he checks is this a spot where I have the green light to go nuts? At this point he doesn't know me. He doesn't have any reason to be slow-playing me or going for light call downs imo.

Let's say you feel this is a spot where we need to have a balanced barreling as well as checking strategy here. What hands are we betting and planning to barrel here? What hands are we checking?

Once the flop goes check-check, I feel I am committed to trying to get to showdown as cheaply as possible with my exact hand (even more so after I just call the small turn bet). Do you think that is the case or are there any different lines you see?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.
