What worse do you think calls? And how often are you beat when he calls? I think if you break down his most likely calling range on the river you are in pretty bad shape. I would check and fold river.
+1 c/f. KQo is pretty much the absolute bottom of your range on the river, especially considering that you lead the flop. If he's passive, he's not going to bluff the river anyway. It should be very difficult for him to have a weaker hand to call you with here.
