Did I save myself a lot here or did I make myself vulnerable to a bluff due to the small cbet and no turn bet? I can't imagine him betting out otr with KQ and I expect him to shove AK pre (correct me if I'm wrong).

I dont see any reason to fold the river. You underreped your hand with cheching turn. Pretty sure villian is betting with worse Kx on the river and some busted fd as well. That said I would bet turn and shove the river. Villian defendig more Hands than KK+, right? If you start to fold that kind of hand otr you fold way to much.
