5-10 HUNL pretty hand gets ugly river

SB: $1524.50
BB: $1440.50 (Hero)
Preflop ($15.00) (2 Players)
Hero was dealt 6 6
SB raises to $30, Hero calls $20
Flop ($65.00) 6 T 2 (2 Players)
Hero checks, SB bets $40, Hero raises to $125, SB calls $85
Turn ($315.00) 6 T 2 J (2 Players)
Hero bets $250, SB calls $250
River ($815.00) 6 T 2 J A (2 Players)

This is on stars vs Wynnix who I believe is a recreational player.

We are 250 hands into the session. He started out playing very nitty: limping 50% and 3x raising 30%. As the match progressed he opened up and at this point he was playing something like 30% limp, 50% 3x. His CB was 55% throughout the match.

I had been check raising flops 15% and on this board texture I would xr 22+66 and some gutshots.

The turn is an obvious bet bringing a lot of draws and the possibility he hit two pair with JT.

On the river I am lost.

I think his hand looks a lot like two pair, but I do not think he is calling with alot of two pair on the river. If we check, then what is he valuebetting and how light do we call?

My problem with check-calling river is that I cant see him bluffing with much of anything, but if we  check-fold a set here then we are pretty much never calling river. I guess we could check the few times we hit a backdoor flush with a flop gutshot, but then we dont have a river valuebetting range. That might be ok, idk..

Any thoughts much appreciated!
