HJ checks,
Hero bets $5.58,
HJ calls $5.58
I think his range is heavily skewed overcards, so I cbet.

HJ checks,
Hero checks
Here I'm ready to give up, if I dont hit my draw. Once he calls the flop, I expect him to have some sort of value and hes not the kind of guy that likes to fold, so I rather realize my equity.

HJ bets $10.98,
Hero raises to $39.92, and is all in
Here, I think I have way more 8's in my range than he, so I shove. On the other hand, not so sure what he could be betting with.
Villain is opening only 18% on HJ and doesnt like to fold to 3bets (37% from this position only). With that being said, my 3betting range is value heavy and A5s is probably the first bluff hand that I'd to my range, hence the 3b.

Do we want or need to have a 3bet bluffing range , we could just keep to an extended value range ?
I think we need a post flop reason to go along with 3betting this hand. Id look for a high fold vs cbet in 3b pots oop - now i know i can extend my value range by adding these types of hands.
As played not a fan of the river shove. He could easily play 88 , 98s , 87s this way along with a number of flushes that floated the flop like KQs,QJs,Txs. He prob has more 8x in his range than you plus youd prob just call them on the river.
I don't like the c bet. I thinkt hat the flop hits his range pretty hard: 66 - JJ, 9Ts, JTs, ATs, mabye 89s. As played, I would actually consider betting the Turn. and shoving blank rivers. He did cap his range on the flop a bit since he should c/r sets. I think that after his c/c on the flop his range is mainly 88, 99, JJ, JTs, ATs, maybe some K high FDs that didn't c/r the flop. The turn brings you an OESD and your ace might be good still, so I bet the turn and shove blanks and 3s.
As played, I don't like the river shove either. Firstly: I don't see him having any pure bluffs here. It's not like he can have AJo here or something. He's also not going to turn a TP into a bluff. If he had an FD on the flop, he improved on the turn. 88 made a straight and I'd be surprised if 99 folded to your shove as you're incredibly polarized.
Ye think the problem is he could def have some flushes. TJss,9Tss, Axss. Its true you have more 8x than he has, he pretty much only has 88,89s, and we could have some more random 8x combos. But i think with him having some flushes here i dont like the rvr shove. If we have the As i would like it allot better but we prob barrel those on turn.
