I dont understand the two checks postflop. Our 3bet pre is really big... id make it 2.5 max. And the fact that its called villain prob has 88+ kq+ aqs+. So that flop is one I feel we should bet for value. Turn I would bet. And reevaluate on this more aggressive line on the river.
As played im not too sure river call is +ev. Sure our hand is very underrepped but we dont have much information about villains range on the river.
Sizing pre is fine, i like the check on the flop its not a board we want to cbet too much w air since it hits him allot i think. I would start vbetting turn tho, i mean if he wants to bluff he usually does on the flop, i think he has SDV allot when he checks so i want to bet to gain some value.
Agreed with all this. I know we don't really want to get raised on the turn but I also don't think it's going to happen that often. Also, as Getready said, I think if villain was going to bluff he'd likely bet the flop a big chunk of the time/ he can't have a ton of air on this board anyways.
Cbet flop for value vs 88 TT QQ AhXh KhBX QhBh QJs-AJs JTs QTs T9s 98s 87s = million combos vs JJ 99 77=9.Same story on the turn, only now he has no 77-QQ in his range, and you can safely vb 2 streets depending on the river.
We can't really comment a hand without any additional read...
You 3bet preflop pretty big, so I guess you have some kind of read, probably he's calling too much, but if is calling too much, you have the best hand on the flop a lot, and checking allow him to get a free card with all the pretty hand that he can call pre with
It`s a squeeze people, 4x is just about the right sizing.
meh, I have to learn how to read, you are right
What does my hand look like to villain? Would you give me a pot controlling overpair here or does it look like i'm trying to get a marginal hand to show down?
If i'm checking the flop and betting the turn and i doing this with AK? what am i trying to fold? Specifically what type of hands could i play this way besides AA/KK/QQ maybe Jxx that was in my bluff range that now improved?
If you are asking what does your hand look like to villain you are assuming he's competent, which in this case, is changing the scenario e little bit. Daz, you should include more info imo
