300bb kk vs asian businessman. Tough spot or easy call?
2 5 no cap live game Las Vegas. utg straddle so it's effectively 5 10 game
so there is no HUD in a live game. So the information that I have is the following. A dealer told me to move over to this 2 5 game, because there is a guy who had lost 300 K on table games. He also said every pot was $500. I moved to the game. she is a Asian businessman. He seems intelligent and has lots of money. I'm only there for 30 minutes before the hand in question happens. The only hand I see him play he has aj on a jxxxq bored where he folds river to a $700 bet and 3 hands after this The hand in question happens.
Utg straddle 10$. 1 call. I raise 50$ KK (3500$). Asian 3bets 240$ (3200$). I call.
I just call thinking he's folding worse pre flop. my plan here is to call down on almost all scary boards. Trying to get it in on monotone boards. And probably folding flop or turn on ace high flops depending on sizing.
It's also worth mentioning I'm a bit uncomfortable playing so deep. I've been playing 2 5 for 2 months now and immediately when I saw KK I knew I felt uncomfortable with how deep I was. (this hand made me realize that I'm not ready for higher stakes) so I call.
Flop (480$ pot) aa6dd
Asian bets 350$. I call.
I'm following my call down on scary board plan. for him to make it 240 preflop his range is heavily weighted towards 1010+, aq+ And the board with my cards block a lot of that range.
Turn (1180) 10c
Asian bets 515$
I think he makes this same bet with qq jj kk. So I call thinking if he bets big on river he must have it.
River (pot 2210$) 6s
Asian bets 825$.
My question is if I'm calling turn should I Be calling river here with his sizing and the line he took? What do you guys think of my thinking and reasoning in the hand? Is it wrong to flat calling pre in postion so deep?
This is the biggest hand I've ever played. I would really appreciate some good feedback from the Rio community. I've talked about this hand with a few good players, but need more input.
Thanks for reading and posting guys
