Villain is a laggier reg stealing 60% and folding ~50% to 3 bets so far. He definitely has some ability to mess around although no exact reads as to how. Whats your preferred line of action in this somewhat tricky flop.

I´d bet the flop, expecting him to often attack this flop and then shove over his raise.

hmmm idk about that idea. We re definitely going to need him to be raise folding a significant % of the time for a 3 bet to be good. Our equity vs his value range is likely to be quite poor. I don t think this is a profitable plan.

Chk raise? He would probably bet a lot of his range and if he peels you can attack a good amt of turns. Don't ask me what to do if he 3bets though, I'd like to hear your take on that.

"Our equity vs his value range is likely to be quite poor"

How that? We have 43% againts any overpair, 50% against fd with overcards, 25% against sets. The only hand we´re almost drawing dead against is JT.

K well I did some stoves. (JxTx,99-77,9x8x)@100,(AdJd,Ad7d,QdJd)@100,(AA,KK)@25 vs this range we have 26%. If I add in JTo (given that he s opening 60% and folding 50% its in the realm of possibility) our equity drops to 17%. So ya our equity is not that good vs a value raising range and we will need significant FE to jam over a raise.

I just plugged some #s into the fpp pro FE calculator. I said we bet 10$, he raises to 30$ and we jam the 82 we have left. I gave us 22% when called (generous imo) and we need him to be folding 37% of the time to b/e.

So unless my calcs are wrong I stand by my previous statement.

I like check/raise/call. He's probably bet/folding some and we perform good enough against his 3bet range to call it off. Unfortunately, he won't be folding better hands, but that's due to the board texture irrespective of our line.

Ya this could be a better way to get dead $$ in the pot. Again though due to what I stated with BigFiszh s idea we re going to run into some trouble with this line. I calculated the FE we need to c/shove (c/r/call is effectively the same thing) and seems we need ~60-65% FE.

wuwei 11 years, 10 months ago

Ok, 60-65% seems high but possible. However, somehow I would like to make more than just a marginally +EV play with this hand. Check/calling won't be much better though ... Hm...

I think this is a bet then fold with a plan to unload on blanks. I m not convinced that we have enough FE to 3 bet or c/r, we have outs, and TP hands are going to have one heck of a time calling down when it bricks off.
