This is a spot that keeps returning and I'm still not 100% sure what's the best thing to do here. I think we can rule out folding in this spot, ingame I was thinking of 3betting the flop since his raising range contains a whole lot of draws and I guess I want to protect vs his equity? The downside of this is that I kinda commit myself to this pot with not that strong of a hand. Is it a decent play vs players with this % cbet raise to just check/call this flop, and just call off a decent amount of the time?
Like to know how you guys play spots like these because I keep getting stuck here.
Thanks.

I would call and evaluate the turn and decide on play depending on what it is. He doesn't have too many value hands, as there are no 2pair/over pair combos. Also, JJ is a hand he may 3b pre flop and you block it. If you are going to 3bet you are best doing it with complete air or a Q9/56 type hand. I know it's tough if he barrels turn and river but your only play is to call this flop and see how later streets develop.
Never 3 betting here, since that's turning your TP into a bluff plus it commits you on this board if he shoves. Potential for huge mistake. Just call and re-evalue the turn.
ok, totally agree with you guys that a 3bet is bad in this spot.
So I called the flop raise and the turn came a K (non club), I checked and he bets, I folded pretty quickly and wasn't that happy with my fold. I mean; its an overcard to my pair but its a card that he's going to barrel with the biggest part of his range + I don't see that much K's in his range.
So is the default plan in these kind of spots to just call him of when the board doesn't bring a club or a straight card?
actually he has quite a lot of kings I think. KQ, KT, K9 - all this hands could raise here because they have at least one overcard + backdoors.
To make decision about calldown we need to know about call open BvB, fold to cbet BvB. If preflop range is wide we should call turn and may be even river because if you call flop and then fold even K turn it's really exploitable I think - he will fire turn for bluff quite often, river - less often imo
As for 3bet. He will push draws and sets (don't think he would raise AJ on the flop). So, call is better than 3bet i guess. 3bet would be nice if u had had some history with the opponent and he could think you're irritated with his raises and push AcX for example
ok, thanks for the feedback guys.
