Hello folks, yesterday i had 2 similar spots where the flop/turn action suggested that my opponent had a boat on the river when the board paired, so i was wondering how do you play those turn spots ? Do you raise over his initial bet or just call like i did and maybe fold river ?
Are those spots where the river is a clear fold and i'm just bleeding money here, and am i supposed to raise turn and make him make calling mistakes if i'm never folding river ?
P.S. The other hand is very similar to this one, i just managed to check back river because he want trappy-trappy and checked to induce.

Without reads, I'll just assume that he's polarize and approach the spot like :
- draws shouldn't bluff that often on the river since we're calling twice on this board, but they could call a raise on the turn
- strong hands (set, DP) should barrel (or XC) most of the rivers but they will also call a raise turn when we have the nuts

So raising the turn should definitely be the default plan to me.

I'll calling the turn only if I have the read that BB used to XR a lot flop and show extrem agressiveness on later streets.

Should raise the turn to like 11-14, in that spot 95% of 25NL player is calling all the time with sets, and even some two pair combos, and pair/FD that he plays like that
If you call him on the turn he almost never bluffs the river, only combos like 87 of clubs..
If we call the turn we should call against this size, if he bets like 10+ then its a fold always
You gotta think also what is your river calling range when you play like this. Some backdoor flushes and QJ (are you calling with Q9, or J9 if that is in your range? And you are for sure folding KT, right?)
With this sizing he could have KT, and some, 9x is unlikely, some KQ, KJ, and QJ

Raising turn might be better, because board is getting awkward, and on many rivers will appear action killer.
As played, I close my eyes and call river, hoping to see QJ or overplayed KJ, K8 etc. he might has worse hand, but dont know if it's more often than 25% of the time
