Hi, villain is unknown.
Preflop ($0.35) Hero is MP with 9 8
UTG raises to $0.50, Hero raises to $2.00, 4 folds, UTG calls $1.50
Flop ($4.35) 7 2 5
UTG checks, Hero bets $1.65, UTG calls $1.65
Turn ($7.65) 7 2 5 4
UTG checks, Hero bets $4.50, UTG calls $4.50
Should've made it larger on the turn imo, as we have plenty of bluffs.
River ($16.65) 7 2 5 4 9
UTG bets $8.00, Hero calls $8.00
River this bet seems like some kind of sizing to let himself the room to bet/fold with middling hands. But what does he have to protect? we can discount sets, he has 88-JJ, and that's it. Would he donk 1/2 all of his flushes? What would you do here? Thx.
