25NL - top pair facing large turn raise

BB: FlippinStacks: $45.27
SB: Mushmellow: $33.84
First time this guy has check raised the turn. I put this guy as a loose passive. I guess this situation depends a lot on the player type and game flow.

Vs. this player we didn't have any crazy dynamic going or anything yet.

Villain stats from the BB:
F: 40%
C: 44%
3B: 16%
Preflop ($0.35) (2 Players)
Mushmellow was dealt A 9
Mushmellow raises to $0.65, FlippinStacks calls $0.50
Standard 3x open.
Flop ($1.50) J 7 A (2 Players)
FlippinStacks checks, Mushmellow bets $1, FlippinStacks calls $1
Value bet.
Turn ($3.50) J 7 A T (2 Players)
FlippinStacks checks, Mushmellow bets $2.75, FlippinStacks raises to $8.25

Value bet. I guess I have to think about what type of hands called me on the flop that are now check raising the turn this big. Even though the board is now wet, I feel like a lot of the Jx and 7x that he called me with on the flop now could have gotten two pairs. 89 gets there as a gutshot but I'm not sure if he's floating me here with just a gutshot.

Options:

1. Fold (this is probably also not too bad as villains raise size is large and looks like he is raising more for protection than as a semi-bluff, also a lot of the semi bluff hands like the FDs are backdoor since the flop was sort of dry...)

2. Call (I think calling is good, we have a gut shot to go along with are top pair and we are going to in position OTR)

3. Shove (I think this might be okay if there is a really aggressive dynamic going but in this game there wasn't really so I think it was a mistake that I chose to shove in this spot, it was too thin / bad)

What do you guys think is best here?

Thanks!
