Not sure if I should bet b/f, x/c or x/f here. Just feel like all draws get there but i suppose he can have like 88-JJ maybe even KK here as well.
Villain is 25/18 w 7% 3bet and 31 (5/16) call open on the button.
AF = 2, F to F CB is 43%
W$WSF 64%, WTSD 45%, WSD 60%
over ~200 hands
thanks!

id just bet/fold, hell call worse often enough
I think that the best line here is to bet for value and easy fold to a raise. You'll still get value from all the pairs 88-JJ,maybe if he is looser he will have something like 87s.
Bet flop bigger
Flop sizing is fine.
The only hands you beat on the turn are lower overpairs, and I assume they would fold for sure unless they have a heart. Betting is pretty much a bluff, as you only get value out a few hands, and those still have like 20% equity.
89s, hearts and sets make sense for Villian, so I'd probably check-fold.
Main reason to continue would be if Villian calls too widely pre-flop and on the flop, with a bunch of offsuit combos, or if he bets the turn every time with hands like TT no heart.
I don't see people folding hands like 88/TT/JJ even without the heart. Problem with c/f is that villain might bet JJ for value/protection if you check to him. Also you allow him to stab with all of his floats. I'd rather bet for thin value here and check the river.
Villain will have some floats here too AhK AKh AhQ some backdoor diamonds.
Bet half the pot and find out where you are. I dont know how often people like to reraise the turn with say Ah6x because that is a hand he also can have in his range as Daz said, its more of a float hand. But usually people just call with them.
This is more off what kind of variation you wont on your overall play. If u dont mind higher variance you should bet but c/f is also an easy option if u want to be more conservative because out off pos+ half the deck scares you.
C/f is the only decision u should make cuz this wet of a board u can only hope to get value from 88-jj which he will most likely b folding the turn when faced with a bet...and if u lead out and he calls and any straight card any heart any diamond hits the river ur in no mans land....its a classic situation where hes only calling a turn bet with better or a lot of equity...its not worth the lead out bet on that board texture....
This is pretty much what i thought as well but kind of felt nitty.
+1 on XF....
@DAZ: even if he has these hands in his range, how can we protect us here? I mean he will at least call the turn and should bluff any river unimproved. And i guess we cant really XC a brick river (that btw. isnt an A or K) and be good to make a XC or B/F attractive OTT :(
