2/5NL live game 3barrell spot
1/2/5NL live game 9 handed with a mandatory straddle.
100BB deep vs a player that has a lot of history with me (we're friends)
He is EP and raises to $15 and I make it $45 in the HJ. It folds around back to him and he calls. We have JdTd
Flop: Ad 8d 7x
He checks, pot is $100. We bet $75, he calls.
Turn is a total brick, 3x. He checks, we bet $130 he calls.
River is 7x & we brick our flush draw & gutshot.
He checks, we shove for $250 and he tanks for a solid 3minutes.......
Thoughts on our line? Thoughts on his range? Thoughts on his calling range on the river? Can we make him fold any weak Ax hands? Is our line believable for very strong holdings? Are we putting him in a difficult situation if he has a hand like AJ or AQ?
I think given his line it is very difficult for him to have better than top pair. I don't know for sure how he would play AK pre vs me in a 3bet pot OOP but I'm going to lean towards 4betting.

If we don't bluff off this hand I don't think we bluff anything off on the end so it can't be terrible from a balance perspective. We can possibly get a hero fold from AJ/AQ but I think that's what he has a lot of the time here. Is our line believable? Absolutely, to rep AK or better. Maybe a random 7x that bluffed pre and chose to bet the flop as well, hands like this. If he's capable of making a fold then it seems ok. I generally like flatting preflop here too. I don't think we need to add this into our 3b range but it's not a big deal.
EDIT: Thinking more now about what hands we want to follow through on the river with, it might make more sense to not have diamonds blocked, to have like 109 or a J10 not of diamonds. In this way we add a few combos of hands in his range that are always folding the river. Then again, those showdownless fds may not peel oop on a board pairing turn anyway..
I think It's better has Kd or Qd in hand for block effect and double fire has beat off many small pair or pure combos,so for a thinking villain and has a lot history hands, I dont think hero can beat off AJ/AQ here,
