25nl K2o 4b pot regwar

Blinds: $0.10/$0.25 (5 Players) BB: $25.00 (Hero)
UTG: $25.51
CO: $25.00
BN: $28.20
SB: $30.54
Preflop ($0.35) Hero is BB with K 2
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.75, UTG raises to $2.25, Hero raises to $4.75, UTG calls $2.50
It's BvB vs a super aggressive reg. It was early on in the session, so I expect him to start 3b light given people usually give credit to the first 3bets they face, so what I tend to do is to 4b when I face the first 3b from a reg, regardless of my hand. In this case it's even better, because I have a blocker + it's blindwar.
Flop ($9.50) K 3 T
Hero checks, UTG bets $3.50, Hero calls $3.50
I thought it's better to XC given how aggro he was. I expect every AJ-AQ combo to bet here, and he probably just shoves KK+ pre. He might also turn a hand like AT into a bluff to make me fold QQ-JJ, and I protect my QQ-JJ combos this way (I also block some of his TP).
Turn ($16.50) K 3 T 3
Hero checks, UTG bets $6.00, Hero calls $6.00
This one is pretty meh, because once he bets this small, I know that he's almost always shoving R, and it doesn't look drawy at all. I'm not sure if he's trying to level my QQ-JJ into folding (he bets small so that I call with these hands, so it means that he beats these, in which case i should fold), but I just feel like he's just got a hand here and I should be mucking it.
River ($28.50) K 3 T 3 5
Hero checks, UTG checks
Final Pot BB lost and shows two pairs, Kings and Threes.
UTG wins and shows two pairs, Kings and Tens.
UTG wins $27.08
Rake is $1.42
I don't get his check, as well as his 3b/c - it's a snap value shove, right?

Not a huge fan of preflop with K2o, it's ok if vilain only plays a 5bet or fold game vs 4bet. But because he could sometimes flat I prefer a hand with better equity (at least a suited hand).

I think post flop is kind of standard.

Yup, as I said, it's just the kind of thing I tend to do vs regs, so preflop is not that relevant. I still wouldn't like my 4b if he only played 'jam or fold' strategy - i'd look for hands with better CRE.

What do you think about his betting range ott as well as his XB otr with his actual hand? Just curious.

Either the hand history is messed up or you have mad skills raising from the bb before UTG acts. Or did he limp?

Pm for coachingz. :D
Seriously, though, as i said - it's bvb - i opened from the SB, he 3b, I 4b.

I dont like starting preflop wars just because of an "aggressive dynamic", especially oop. You put yourself in high varicance spots in which you may win a small amount but more often than that make decisions even harsher for yourself.

@Taaazz: first, I think that if he is really aggro and if you have some dynamics or history we can remove AK/AQ/AJ and TT - (AA) of his range as he will mostly shove that BvB. So for me you only lose against KTs, KJs - KQ and maybe AA.

The problem is that I don't think he two barrels Tx often and there as not a lot of draws unless maybe QJ and a turned FD but I don't except him to stab bluff a lot this board in a 4bet pot (but it's possible).

So yes turn is definitively close we need to win 21%. Maybe folding OTT is better as there are not a lot of bluffs in his range I think when he 2 barrels. If we call I think we have to fold the river when he shoves as I don't think he will 3 barrel bluff because SPR will be so low OTR and we have AK/KK/AA/TT in our range.

PS: against KTs, KJs, KQ, you still have about 8% of split equity. But i'm not even sure he will 2 barrel KJ/KQ here.

You're really out of line preflop. There are so many better hands to do this with. You shouldn't go out of line without any real reasoning (reads, him overfolding vs 4bets or w/e). Postflop is wp as played.

It's nice that we see vids, hand review threads with all kinds of good-aggro play but i feel that i also misapply a lot of stuff and get myself in bad spots and forget to think about where the money really comes from.
Where i'm trying to get at ... Do you honestly think there's EV in raising SBvsBB vs an aggro player with K2o?

And in my experience these guys also call small 4bets IP.
