I could bet, but I felt like I'm getting floated (and prob outplayed) by worse hands way too often. Also, if I hit Qx/Ax, it would be hard to get paid off, and I can still credibly represent an overcard when one rolls off, I suppose.

That said, I went for a XC - he's likely to barrel Ax/Qx (might put me on a hand like 56/66/7x etc, and I still have some SDv vs his A2/A4/89/86/96/X6ss/X4ss etc.

This is a good card for my range, and I don't expect him to barrel this one as a bluff particularly often and, as I said, I expect to still be good vs a part of his range, so I don't want to give him a free card and I've decided to make a small range lead.

I felt like I should be turning a hand into a bluff to make him fold basically everything but a straight or better.
I also think that if I check here, he might bluff this card with most of his range, and I can't call + I have a flush blocker.

As for sizing, I didn't want to go too small, cause people are pretty cally vs small bets at these stakes, and bombing the R doesn't make any sense - his folding range also folds to a 1/2-2/3 psb.
