Since we were somewhat deep I didn't feel comfortable shoving on him here against this villain even though it's a resteal situation and he did give me good pot odds for calling with AK.

Maybe it would have been better to x/c here? Or x/f?
What if villain bet the flop and I called, should I x/c again?

I hated folding to such a small bet and I'm still not sure if I made a big mistake by folding there but my experience is that everyone in 25nl makes these really small tempting "call me" value bets constantly.. besides he did 4bet me so he might just have slowplayed the flop or he bluffed me off the hand with some kind of Axs/Kxs hand.. He could also have hit the flush?
Final Pot

wins $17.76

dont see almost non flush hand in his range, but you can have flush easy ,if you dont have exactly AK (very good SD value ) i think about x/raise river is fine.
with 25/24 i dont think he is too scary and he bet every overpiar on this flop (if not he could raise turn after your small bet)
he can have A3,A4 kind of hand ,but dont think he will bet on the river with it.
I m little confused about his range here after this line.someone else must help.
I'd x/c that river. What hand does he play like this that isn't Ax (x= K, Q or J).
we are only 140bb deep, Im just getting it in PF. I know everyone is always like "you dont understand, they just always have it at these limits, we're either flipping or crushed" but I dont necessarily buy that, and If he does have only QQ+ AK himself, then why even call the 4 bet? We are OOP and reverse implied and we are either gunna get pushed off by the same hand, or win a small pot when we hit or lose a big one.
just going by hand reading Id c/r the river because he looks like he has the same hand as you, hes capped and you arent. I would have bet the turn bigger as well tho, and then just bet the river myself.
If its massively -EV then we should fold to his 4 bet. So if he has enough hands that we wanna play post flop because he has a bluffing range, then he has enough hands that our 5bet preflop is +EV. So the only argument is whether its higher EV to call or not. Sure its great that he has hands we dominate, but we hit those boards as often as we hit a set, the vast bulk of the time, we whiff and he just pushes us off our hand. Id much rather just take my PF EV than play a big pot OOP where even if I hit my hand im not psyched if money starts going in, and if I miss my hand im not sure what to do.
I'm putting in a ton of hands on 25NL and you will be surprised how often you get a fold versus tight villains (with low/narrow 4bet stats) when you 4bet/5bet AK. I think this is because they 3betting/4betting linear ranges but then getting stuck when they faced with continued aggression. I see players routinely flatting QQ/KK/AK to 4bets too so i'm seriouslt considering 4bet folding some hands if i've sized my bets correctly so that i'm not commited to the shove.
ok with jamming oop here pre.
definitely not a good spot to bluff ak, on the turn. its a value hand, just c/f when you miss and valuetown when your there. were oop on a bad board vs 25nl player. this should be pretty standard and dont see much use in checking the flop betting the turn here except making things more difficult.
out of all lines id avoid this one you chose over any advice given here.
