2/2 interesting live hand #2
2/2 live hand
I'm UTG and open to 16 with AJo.
This has been my standard sizing from EP, and people usually gave me respect, and I've taken down most of my pots on the flop or turn.
SB calls, everyone else is out.SB is the best live player I've seen around, which means virtually nothing. Had about 1500 and he was running incredibly well. Solid fundementals and understanding of the game, but nothing amazing for sure. Likes to play more hands than me. Perhaps because of the average level of competition, and maybe because of how he was running. Btw, one of the biggest assholes I've ever seen.
Numbers are estimations
Pot - 34
Flop - K64r
He checks.
I've bet almost every flop when I was in control, and I'd already shown down multiple strong hands. I have showndown value, but I decided to use my image to pick up the pot. Especially since SB is not a station.I bet about 20, he calls.
Pot - 74
Turn - 3
He checks again. I know my hand is no good now, but I'm not sure what he has. I do know that a bet will get respect. I bet 44, and he calls again.
Pot - 162
River - 2
He checks.
Hero?
I know he's good enough to fold a king on the river, or a hand like TT. The bet sizes seem a little off, but remember that's it's live poker. There's just a heap of chips in the middle. No actual count.
He also knows that I'm capable of value betting pretty light here. Not just betting the straight or a set.
I bet 88, he tanks, and calls with A6o. Terrible pre-flop call. He kept playing fairly well the rest of the night, but that was just awful by him. Was this a little ambitious? Should I have checked back or given up on any street? I would not have mad this play against other players? Would have given up on the turn.
