Villain is an unknown, but presumably weaker player. (I don't see him on any other tables and he had been opening actively over a small sample, but no limping).
Preflop

Hero is BN with

I 3-bet a linear range here for value/isolation, with smaller size.
Flop

In-game thought is that this board should connect pretty well with his range. So I decide to take my equity and check back instead.

Here I'm a bit unsure. And I think I botched this street completely.
Firstly, can we find a value raise or not?
Hands we beat that likely play this way are Jx, Tx, 99, 88 that are bet for value against our perceived AQ/AK heavy range. As well as some semi-bluffs like KQ.
Hands that beat us are TT, 77, 66, JTs.
If that's his betting range with all those hands at full frequency, we're at 60% EQ on the turn. Which is probably not enough to value raise, unless he never folds. However, he might not fold often at all given that we rep so little.
TT-66,AcQc,AJs-ATs,KTs+,QTs+,JTs,T9s,98s,KQo -- against this we have ~60%.
Now, he might not always bet 99/88 or KQ for that matter, but I expect Tx or better to mostly be bet.
Once we do raise, it's still a shitty spot because we don't know how often villain is protection shoving a hand like QJ or even AT, maybe worse - or semi-bluffing a hand like KQ - since it looks so much like we have a ridiculously played AQ/AK usually. In-game I begrudgingly folded because I was unsure. I realize this is a terrible line.
I think we either raise/call, or just call, without having more information.
Thoughts? Thanks!
