I'm still a beginner, but i have been playing a lot of 10/25NL this seems extremely hard to get away from, especially because it is 6 max, and low stakes. You may be able to fold preflop in a full ring cash game if your hud stats show your opponent is 3-betting preflop with less than 3% over a large sample size.
i doubt i can get away from this hand, you played it fine. whether raising on flop or turn, we would not be able to get away.
Don't be result-oriented, you should be thrilled to gii there. That's just a cooler
We go broke here pretty much always. Everything is fine, our only option to fold is on turn. We can ask "what value hands 3bet pre, bet flop and STILL want to bet turn?". AK for sure, maybe A5 if he got feisty preflop. AA and QQ beat us and no other value hands play this way. So our question is, does he literally ever 3bet pre with hands like KJhh, KThh, J9hh? How fiery do we think this guy is? I'm not amazing at poker, but I'm always going broke in this spot.
I actually don't think calling the flop is bad though I think raising the flop is better. I think villain would continue with every flush draw. Also A5s/A6s (sometimes even off suit aces) are very common hands for 3bet bluff ranges.
The best way to not get stacked here is to river an A
Ace river for profits, queen river for entertainment
imo you played it fine.
There's no way to get away with your top2.
You have to know that it's NL16! Villain can have in his range tons of flush draws, A5; A6 - (since players can't x/c on this stakes weak TP and they just make an auto cbet), even 56s, moreover you don't block Ah!
GG, WP PLAYED
+1
That is true, two pair would call here pretty much always, especially with a FD. Hero would also protect his equity and fold out a lot of draws after getting in as much as possible from the villain.
